Sliding or Swing

Sliding gates suit sloped or short driveways. Swing gates give a classic look where there’s room for the leaves to open.

Made To Measure

Every gate is built to your opening in modern aluminium. It won’t rust, needs very little maintenance and comes in a range of slat styles and colours.

Reliable Automation

We fit trusted Nice and Key Automation motors, above ground or hidden underground, with remote fobs and safety photocells as standard.

Intercom And Access Control

Add video intercom, keypad entry or smartphone control so you can open the gate for visitors and deliveries wherever you are.

One Company. Gate, Automation & Installation

We design, build and install your gate ourselves, with no third-party contractors. If you want it to work with your CCTV, alarm or smart home system, we can do that too.

Electric Gate FAQs

Should I choose a sliding gate or a swing gate?

Sliding gates suit sloped driveways, short driveways, and anywhere a car parked near the gate would block swinging leaves. Swing gates suit level driveways with enough room for the leaves to open, and give a more traditional look. We’ll recommend the best option at survey.

Can my gates open outwards towards the road?

Gates shouldn’t open out over a pavement or road. We design swing gates to open inwards, towards the house. Where a slope or space makes that difficult, a sliding gate is usually the answer.

What power supply do electric gates need?

The motor needs a standard 230V mains supply near the gate. If you don’t already have one there, your electrician will need to provide one before we fit the gate.

What’s the difference between above ground and underground automation?

Above ground motors are mounted on the posts or pillars. They are easy to access and cost less. Underground motors are hidden in a box beneath each gate leaf, so they’re almost invisible, which suits a cleaner look. Both are reliable. Underground costs more because of the extra groundwork.

What happens if there’s a power cut?

Every gate can be released and opened by hand with a manual release key. Battery backup is available on request, so the gate keeps working during a power cut.

Are electric gates safe for children and pets?

Yes, when they’re installed properly. We fit safety photocells that stop the gate if something is in its path, and we set up the motor’s obstacle detection during commissioning.

Can I open the gate from my phone?

Yes. Remote fobs come as standard, and we can add a video intercom, keypad entry or smartphone control. Smartphone control lets you open the gate for visitors or deliveries from anywhere.

How long does it take from order to installation?

Because every gate is made to measure, allow around 4-10 weeks from order to fitting. The installation itself usually takes 3-5 days, depending on groundwork.

Do you supply matching pedestrian gates and fencing?

Yes. We make pedestrian gates and fencing in the same aluminium profiles and colours, so everything matches.

How much do electric gates cost?

It depends on the width, the style, the gate type and the automation. Request a quote with your rough measurements for a guide price. You can also book a survey for £36, which is deducted from your order if you go ahead.
