- Panel showing offline. How to reconnect Risco LightSys to Internet ? Please ensure you check the ethernet connection and double check your system is connected to a power source.When your alarm system appears to be offline it is because the internet connection or power source has been disrupted. If you have an IP panel then it will more than likely be the connection to your on-site modem and you should double check your service. Reasons for this include- Changes to your internet service provider
The ethernet cable has come lose from your Router (If IP panel)
You have had a power surge and disrupted the panel
Power loss has caused a system battery fail
Reboot the LightSys Panel
Turn off the power at the wall. It may be connected to a power source in the roof if you didn’t organise a direct power point for the system, you will then need to turn off your power at the mains.
Take cover off the panel cover. There is a button either side of the cover at the top – depress these and flip the lid downwards.
Disconnect the large Battery inside for 20 seconds – you only need do this on one of the terminals.
Reconnect the battery and refit the cover firmly.
Turn your panel back on at the wall/mains.
This will reboot the panel and therefore re-establish a connection
- Does the price includes cabling ? No. We can replace old alarm which has cables in place or can supply cables to be laid in place during refurbishment or construction. Once the cables are in place , we will install the alarm for you. We do this way not to disturb the decor for your home.
- Does wired LightSys has Anti-Mask Technology ? Masking is when a possible intruder physically approaches the detector to cover the detector's field-of-view while the alarm system is not armed. The system will detect such an attempt and issue an alert. The masking feature works by having a receiver for every IR transmitter.
- Are the sensors pet friendly ? No, the sensors included in the Lightsys kit are not pet friendly.
- Does the wired alarm need maintenance ? Yes, the system needs to be tested and verified at least once in 2-3 years.
- What is Agility 4? ? This is the latest version of wireless smart alarm from Risco with multi-Socket communication modules enabling parallel reporting to the cloud and monitoring stations with multiple IP addresses using one communication module.
- What are the main difference between Agility 4 and Agility 3 ? All the latest communication technologies available – 3G, IP, GSM/GPRS and PSTN in Agility 4 in contrary to Agility 3 with IP , GSM and PSTN. Also new design and upgraded keypad, keyfob
- Is it possible to use the iRisco app with Agility 4 ? Yes. Connecting an Agility 3 solution with the iRisco app installed to the Risco Cloud enables the end user to control the security system remotely
- In Agility 4, after AC power loss, and while the panel is using the battery, when will low battery appear ? Low battery will appear when the battery voltage goes under 6 volts
- Does Agility 4 detects masking of detectors by intruders ? Masking is when a possible intruder physically approaches the detector to cover the detector's field-of-view while the alarm system is not armed. The system will detect such an attempt and issue an alert. The masking feature works by having a receiver for every IR transmitter. When the receiver receives too much or too little energy, it means that a masking attempt is taking place. If a material is placed close to the detector, the IR signal reflected back to the receiver in the detector will increase and will be detected as a masking attempt. If an IR absorbent material is placed in front of the detector, the level of signal will reduce and a masking attempt will also be detected
- Does Agility 4 detects cloaking by intruders ? Cloaking is when an intruder camouflages himself in order to appear like the room background, by blocking his infrared rays from reaching the detector during a burglary when the alarm system is armed. Agility 4 is enabled with anti-cloaking detectors
- Does any SIM card work on this Alarm is GSM chosen ? Yes any SIM card from any provider except 3 Mobile
- Will the SIM expire for GSM burglar alarm ? No, We will set up a monthly test feature in the SIM so that it doesn't expire
- Is Agility4 connected to telephone line? ? No. This kit is not connected to land telephone but can be with the addition of a PSTN module (additional charges apply)
